"I've come to learn the urgent things in life are seldom important and the important things in life are seldom urgent." -Dwight Eisenhower
Despite all of our modern conveniences that are supposed to make our lives easier, it seems that even the small things in my life seem to have "urgent" stamped all over them - in red, no less. When I heard this quote by President Eisenhower, I could not deny the truth within.
The urgent things scream more loudly for our attention, often getting most of it, while the quieter, important things tend to be ignored.
Thought to Ponder: Aren't the non-urgent things that we neglect the very things that make the most lasting impact on our lives?
