I'm so glad you took a moment to visit and find out more about Live It Out. There are a couple of purposes behind the idea of a Live It Out group. We as women often participate in lots of good things like worship services, listening to sermons Sunday after Sunday, attending Sunday school classes or small groups, we even attend Bible studies. We have vast amounts of information made available to us, really good information. But what are we doing with it? I don't know about you, but I want more than information, I'm seeking transformation. I don't want to remain the same, I want there to be a purpose behind what is taken in. I want to do something with it, I want to take it Beyond Sunday Mornings and Live It Out. And I would love for you to do that with me. Which brings us to the second purpose for a Live It Out group. Community. Scripture encourages community. Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.....And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart. God never promised us that life as Jesus girls would be easy, but He did promise us that He would never leave us, never forsake us. He has promised that two are better than one, and that two have a good return for their labor. We can help each other and there is a good return in that! Over the next few weeks, I'll be sharing some principles that the ladies of Olive Baptist recently learned as we studied the book "Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl" by Lysa TerKeurst. It is not necessary for you to have participated in that study to participate in Live It Out. The study is merely a jumping off point with concepts and truths to live out in our day to day lives. I'll do my best to post here once a week (my life is crazy like yours!) with a short lesson that includes a challenge or practical application for you for the week. If you would like to automatically get these posts in your inbox, enter your email address in the box on the right of this screen and click subscribe. An email will come to you to confirm that you requested to be on the list. If you don't see that email, check your junk folder. When you get the email, open it and confirm that it was you who signed up and not some robot in Tokyo! You won't automatically get the posts until you do that step. For those who are Facebook users, you can take this a step further. We can interact throughout the week at the Facebook Group Beyond Sunday Mornings - Live It Out Group. If Facebook is not your thing, that's okay too. You can leave your comments here on the blog, but joining the Facebook group will make so much more encouragement from others available to you on a daily basis. On here, I'll be doing most of the talking, but over at the group, we can all talk to and encourage one another. So excited to learn and grow along with you! Don't forget to head over to Facebook and join the Beyond Sunday Mornings - Live It Out Group. Keep those inboxes peeled for the first post! XOXO, |
