Hello, sweet blog friends!  Phewwww!  I didn't mean to drive you straight to the middle of Proverbs 31 and leave you there!  You probably thought I dropped you off and was never going to come back and get you, but I promise, I haven't forgotten you!  Life's been moving faster than I can keep up with the past few weeks and I haven't been able to steal away to type, but that doesn't mean these verses haven't been on my mind, so let's get right to it.
She considers a field and buys it; from her earnings she plants a vineyard.
Proverbs 31:16
She considers -  If we consider something, we are think seriously about it, we look at the pros and cons, we plan, we imagine the outcome.

What is she considering?

A field.

She thinks it through, she plans it out, she imagines the outcome of taking possession of it.

And then she buys it.

When we buy something, whatever we are purchasing has a price.  We decide as we are considering if it's worth the price being asked of us.   She imagines the outcome of owning this field and decides it is worth the price and she buys it.

Now, let me ask you, my friend, what comes from a field?

Yes, a field brings forth a harvest.

A harvest is what we reap from a sown field.  She knew that despite the price she would have to pay to make this ground her own, the harvest would be worth every penny.  And the harvest always contains more seed, so what does she do?

From her earnings she plants a vineyard.  She uses her harvest to reinvest and plants a vineyard.

Is there ground you need to possess in your life?  Consider the field, sweet sister, a harvest comes from a field.  Is the price you will have to pay on this earth worth it?

You bet it is.  Like we can never imagine.

Do you see your family, your friends, your loved ones, the people you encounter in your life as a field?  Is it worth the price it would cost to harvest Kingdom seed in them?

Oh, yes.  Yes, it is.  I promise you that.

And with their seed, we can plant a vineyard.  Vineyards are made up of vines and vines trail everywhere, my friend.   There is no limit to where the harvest could take the Kingdom if we would invest in the price of the fields we pass by everyday.

Let's consider the fields, consider the harvest, consider the vines, and where they may trail.

The words of our matchless Savior, about a field and a harvest -
...Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.
John 4:35
To consider a field, we must lift our eyes and see it.  Really see it for what it's worth.  The investment compared to the return is minimal, and we, as Proverbs 31 women have eyes to see.  Oh....the vineyards if we would but see and imagine the outcome.

XOXO,
Amy
