What Kind of Fruit Are You Eating? - March Prayer Dare

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
- Proverbs 18:21
What's your favorite fruit?  Can I ask what kind of fruit have you been eating lately?  Sometimes the fruit I find myself eating is far from my favorite.  This verse tells us that the fruit we eat in life is directly related to whether our tongue speaks words that bring life or words that are destructive.

The words we say have lasting consequences. It's important what we say and how we say it.  Considering God SPOKE the earth into existence, I think it's fair to say our words carry weight,  should be chosen wisely, and that God takes them seriously.

Last month I told you about Prayer Dare, a great idea from Amanda  over at A Royal Daughter.  You can read my original post here if you would like.  February's prayer focus was praying for our husbands or husbands-to-be.  I really enjoyed praying specific prayers and scriptures over my husband and my family and the structure it provided helped keep me on track in my prayers.

The Prayer Dare focus for this month, March, is the influence of the words we say.

Like last month, Amanda has printable prayer cards that you can download for free.  Each day has a suggested prayer including scripture supporting the prayer focus.  You can also follow the hashtag #prayerdare on twitter to help with accountability.  That was helpful for me as well.  I would love to see some of you on there when I pull up the prayerdare hashtag!

Several of you joined me for February, so who's up for a new dare?

Come on, I dare you!

I'm warning you though, this one may leave a mark ;) Let's take the influence of the words we say Beyond Sunday Mornings and invade Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and everyday of the week with words that bring life into this dying world.

If you decide to participate, would you mind to drop me a comment below so I know who is tough enough to take the dare?

Life's biggest blessings to you, friends!  Love you all.

I found out about the #PrayerDare a few days late, but I'm in. I've struggled with this topic my entire life....so it's about time I earnestly prayed about it. Great post!!
